Portugal: Rubis strengthens its position in Portugal

It was in the Portuguese islands of Madeira and the Azores that the Rubis Group acquired the Repsol liquefied gas distribution assets, as well as the continental channelled distribution networks.

This acquisition expands the Rubis Group’s offering to the channelled networks segment and enables it to reach a critical size in its existing activities in Madeira and the Azores.

Representing around an annual volume of 15,000 tonnes, these activities generate normative gross operating income (EBITDA) of around €6 million.

The assets acquired comprise different segments: packaging, bulk and channelled distribution networks as well as the related operational facilities.

Through this new acquisition, the Rubis Group remains faithful to its development strategy in market niches complementary to its existing activities.
